John + Gina were one of my first Spring engagement sessions to kick off the new year. Their woodsy engagement session was definitely a perfect way to kick-start my 2018 season. Spring can feel so busy with wedding season, and it’s so nice to slow down a bit and spend time getting to know my couples with engagement sessions. This season is definitely one I embrace, and I’m so happy I was able to capture John and Gina during this time of year.
Plus, I absolutely love this season for photography because everything is so green and luscious. The forest has come back to life after a long winter that seemed to drag on forever and everything is buzzing. That fresh warm air gives me such a renewed sense of energy, and I love being out in it. I’m one of those people who has been going tent-camping every year since I was a kid. Now that I have a family of my own, it’s a tradition that we have carried on. I talk more about that in my about me section if you’re curious to know more about my family and how we like to spend out free time!
For this session, we started in the forest and ended up driving down to the beach for fun sunset pictures. These two are getting married this fall, and we cannot wait to photograph their wedding.
