WEDDING: Private Estate in Suffolk, Virginia

November 11, 2018

Amanda + Phill married in their backyard in Suffolk, Virginia and it made for the most perfect outdoor Virginia wedding.

Their property is surrounded by gorgeous trees, and string lights were delicately hung in the yard to give their wedding an intimate romantic vibe.

Outdoor weddings are some of my absolute favorite to photograph.

Amanda and Phil purchased their home in Suffolk and knew their backyard would serve as the perfect setting for their outdoor Virginia wedding to take place.

I first met Amanda and Phil during their engagement session in the Historic Suffolk District. We had so much fun exploring the town, and taking their photos. We topped off the night with dinner at a local restaurant, and shared a huge plate of hummus and french fries! I mean – instant best friends, right?!

Their wedding day was full of intimate touches. Amanda and Phil both got ready for their day in their home, and when I arrived I was greeted by their adorable dogs at the front door. There was so much warmth and love, it was truly beautiful.

There are always special moments that stand out to me during every wedding we capture. For Amanda and Phil’s outdoor wedding, one of my favorite elements was hearing her brother officiate over their ceremony. I don’t think there was a single dry eye that day! Hearing him wed his sister and now brother in law was so genuine and special.

Thank you Amanda and Phil for having us be a part of your special day. It’s been such a joy to keep in touch and see your lives unfold together as a married couple. We love you guys and wish you so much love and happiness!
